Smells like winter

29 Oct

A breeze of cool air, leaves lay on the ground ready to make a crunching sound and the sun setting a little early than usual. It seems that winter is around the corner [I hope!] Karachi hardly sees any winter, with the scorching heat and humidity around more than nine months, karachiites are bound to pray for rain or even cool air for that matter!

I personally love the rain and when everyone is fed up with the unusual rainy days I secretly wish it would last longer stretching over a month, to say the least. Even though we start facing electricity breakdowns and traffic jams lets not forget the feeling of the rain drops on one’s face which are so relaxing and refreshing. Ah! Can’t wait for winters when we might just have a little downpour.

For now lets bear the heat and keep our hopes high!

Tata !

Winters are the most depressing season of all seasons. And rains are overrated. Both bring nothing but more clumsiness, more glum and more flue. Thank you very much.

Yeah but it definitely has ‘winters’ which Karachi hardly ever sees 😦

@ The only normal person here : Thankyou for your input..there are so many people who will side with you but for me I’m just sick of the heat! Hahaaha!

Don’t listen to normal person πŸ˜› she just hates winters. I second you on the rain part even though we get those a lot more in lahore than in karachi. “geeli mitti” ki khushbo is amazing. Even at times when the power goes during such days, it makes me feel kinda at peace. Life seems to come to a stand still. Only thing that seems alive is the rain. Its just unexplainably good. I get a cup of hot tea and stand by the veranda grill and watch it pour.

I was in Lahore a few days back and the winter was AMAZING! I mean eventhough our layers and layers of clothing weren’t doing any good but still the atmosphere was enough to keep our spirits high! I wish Karachiites could experience that feeling:)
