About the author

Probably the most difficult part of writing a blog and so I keep updating it.

I’m 18 and a born Karachiite.

I am a [rational] patriot.I love my country even if the world calls it a ‘failed state’. I love my country even though it is plagued with problems for I believe as long as people have reasonable hopes for the future. Some may say believing in Pakistan may be beyond pragmatic and reasonable but this is what we need to move ahead and live, an optimistic approach with a voice of reasoning that understands, accepts and ponders over the issues that we face today.

Girl from Karachi is an average Pakistani who believes.

    Hi Nida 🙂

Nice blog. It’s always a pleasure to meet someone who believes in Pakistan and isn’t steeped in cynisism. A positive, patriotic attitude is the first step towards achieving our dream of a properous, vibrant Pakistan.

Be the change you want to see.

    Take care,

    – Shahzeb

    P. S. Karachi beats Lahore any day 😉

Hey there! Thank you for your appreciation 🙂 Its true with pessimism nothing can every be really achieved. Although i’m often inclined to pen down my frustrations regarding our country but then its better to promote a positive Pakistan rather than boil down to being negative and annoyed.

Hahaha..i would rather avoid the Karachi vs Lahore fight from erupting here 🙂 Welcome and please give your feedback!

I seriously didn’t know that these many people in Karachi like to write 😮
Glad to meet a blog-person that matches the *other* standard!

Although I would say that the address sounded a little cheap at first 😛

    • Nida

      September 24, 2011 at 7:04 pm

Hey, Indeed there are loads. Thankyou for coming by!
Oh and I think the address isn’t cheap, its the preconceived notions that prevail about ‘girls of Karachi’. I’m sure my content is anything but cheap!

      • Raza Asif (@knowbuzz)

        September 27, 2011 at 7:48 am

Yep there are, one lead me to the other.

Ohh no no don’t get me wrong on that one; I was in no way criticising your posts as cheap. It is the Pakistani perception (specially mine :P) that needs to be reformed. To be truthful, people like you successfully prove Pakistan as a talented nation with your empowering views. I take no shame in saying that even when you’re a year younger than me (not that I’m discriminating), I learnt a lot from your academic-related posts.
        Keep going.

P.S. You could work a bit on your theme design. Plus some blog promotion won’t hurt; you need to get heard.

        September 27, 2011 at 3:22 pm

Thank you for the much-appreciated clarification and critique! Your comment pushed me to write my new post! 🙂

I think i have a lot to say about Pakistan, politics and just about everything in general but because of really poor time management skills I fail to update regularly. Your ideas are most welcome and help me spread the word 😉

Although I think i’m as old as you now.
Hoping to see you often with valued feedback!

Haha ohh wow that’s fantastic I could be of some use.

Actually time fails to satisfy me as well. But whenever I get the time and opportunity, I’ll be sure to leave you an email with the possible suggestions I have in mind (and I won’t forget the double “i”).

Okay that’s fantastic then, I meet a like-aged Karachiite with a better set of English skills than mine 😛
